— -- Beth Loyd joined "World News Tonight" in 2004, where she produces feature stories for the broadcast. She was an off-air reporter in the last election season, traveling with then-presidential candidate the Rev. Al Sharpton throughout the duration of his campaign. After Sharpton's withdrawal, Beth stayed in the field for the Political Unit. She traveled across the country in ABC's "Vote 2004" buses, shooting, producing and editing various elements for the news division, and in the two months leading up to Election Day, she resumed her duties as an off-air reporter, traveling with Sen. John Edwards, the Democratic vice presidential candidate.

In addition to her work in the Political Unit and at "World News Tonight," Beth has worked in the London and Atlanta bureaus at ABC. She holds a B.A. in journalism from Georgia State University.
