May 31 -- The Lords of Acid would like to set the record straight: "We're not fucking around onstage!" Deb Ostrega insists.

And she means that in a very literal sense.

Ostrega is addressing rumors that have been circulating about her and her leather-clad band mates ever since Penthouse ran a recent story.

Lords of Acid Belgium's most delectable export since the waffle are no strangers to controversy. In the past, they've been accused of everything from kidnapping and drugging fans to performing acts on stage that were, uh, more than just musical.

"Now I will use the mic as a dildo or a vibrator but I will never put it in my pussy or in my butt!" Deb says, lest anyone be confused. "We're just insinuating things!" she states.

Then what's the scuttlebutt behind this latest fuss? According to Ostrega, a journalist from the before-mentioned publication was present at a Lords show when one of her bandmates "lifted up her skirt," giving the scribe his own personal peep show.

In Deb's opinion, what happened next is either a case of wishful thinking or artistic license.

"Now I wear the panty hoses [sic]. I wear invisible underwear. It is the color of skin," she explains. "But this guy [claims he] saw my 'beaver,' like he expressed it."

But for the record, Ostrega isn't offended.

"If he saw it, that's his imagination and that's beautiful!" she maintains.

She does take issue with the Penthouse account, however, because she fears fans will come to the shows expecting more of the same.

"I think there are a lot of people who think I'm going naked!" Ostrega laughs. "There are a lot of people, especially in Europe, who say, 'Hey, what is she doing? I want to see that show!'"

As Ostrega sees it, there are more important things to worry about in this world.

"So what's the problem with sex? We have explicit lyrics, but what the hell?" she begins. "One thing that shocked me when I first came to the States, I turn on the television, and it's people getting killed, people getting shot! And in Europe you will never see that on television!"
