Real World Blows in to Chicago
May 9 -- MTV's The Real World, which many consider to be the show that inspired the reality TV craze, is heading to the Windy City next, the music network announced Tuesday.
The Real World, which films an often disparate group of young people forced to live in a swank, camera-coded house together, is heading into its 11th season. The Chicago series is set to shoot this summer and will premiere next January, MTV notes.
The new series, which debuts in July, is based in New York City, where the show's first season was filmed.
New Orleans Cast Member ArrestedIn other Real World news, a former cast member of the New Orleans show was arrested Saturday for bungee jumping from San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, authorities said.
Jamie Murray, 23, was arrested for trespassing after an officer saw him dangling in his cord, according to a California Highway Patrol spokesman. Murray, who founded a Bay Area outdoor sports company, told the San Jose Mercury News that his dive off the bridge was done in order to send "a message of love."
Murray faces fines of up to $10,000 and community service for trespassing on the suspension bridge.
