Model Niki Taylor Hospitalized After Crash
May 1 -- Supermodel Niki Taylor is in critical condition in an Atlanta hospital after suffering severe internal injuries in a weekend car crash, her agent told Reuters today.
Taylor, 26, was a passenger in a car that crashed in Atlanta early on Sunday, said Lou Taylor of TriStar Management agency.
In a brief statement, the agent said the driver, who was not identified, lost control of the car and struck a pole. The driver was also critically injured, publicist Scott DeMunn told The Associated Press. No other vehicles were involved, according to media reports.
The 26-year-old Taylor, who is from Florida, is one of the world's top models; she made a name for herself when she was just 13.
The single mother of 5-year-old twin boys is currently a model for Cover Girl cosmetics. Taylor's sister, Krissy, who was also a promising model, died of asthma in 1995 at 17. Taylor discovered Krissy unconscious at the family's home in Pembroke Pines, Fla., but was unable to revive her.
