January 12 -- It may have taken them a few years, but the Brits may finally boast a film that will make even flatulence-obsessed Howard Stern bow in awe.

Thunderpants is about a lonely little boy who must, uh, break like the wind in order to accomplish his life goals. According to Variety, the $7 million British fart flick's main character is an 11-year-old who becomes famous for his gastrointestinal feats. Seven million?! Color us conservative, but wouldn't a few $3 Whoopie Cushions take care of the f/x needs?

Thunderpants is no Billy Elliot, obviously. But anyone who dares to make a movie about a boy who strives to be an astronaut with only his natural gases as rocket fuel well, this we gotta smell er, see.

Another bonus: The film was originally titled The Boy Who Dealt It. Ahem.

Peter Hewitt will direct the fume-heavy film, which is set to begin production in April. Hewitt's last picture was 1997's The Borrowers, which focused on 4-inch-tall creatures who sabotage a family's home.
