Jennifer's Name Switcheroo

November 1 -- When Jennifer Aniston wed Brad Pitt, there was speculation that she might opt to tack on her hubby's last name to show her new status, à la Friends co-star Courteney Cox Arquette

Not exactly. It appears that Brad Pitt's missus has taken her husband's last name and dropped her own — at least partly.

The Friends star created a mini-stir at a Department of Motor Vehicles office in Santa Monica, Calif., when she applied for a driver's license under the name "Jennifer Pitt," according to Inside.com.

The site sez that the skinny star will continue to be billed on-screen as Jennifer Aniston but will be known in her private life as Mrs. Pitt. When Mr. Showbiz called to confirm the actress's name switcheroo, her close-mouthed reps said only, "That's personal information, and we're not going to comment on it."

So only her family and friends will know for sure — except for bartenders needing proof of legality, cops who might pull the TV star over, or stores where the actress wants to write a check.
