Oct. 11 -- Cameron Diaz has offended film fans overseas, and for once the cause isnt that supposedly stinky Charlies Angels movie.

The blond actress posed for an English advertisement with her hand jammed into the crevices of her unmentionables (knickers, according to the Brits), sparking complaints from readers of the publications running the ad.

Cheeky and InnocentThe Advertising Standards Authority told the British Broadcasting Corp. the ad was likely to cause serious or widespread offense, and that citizens had called to complain about the ad, which they found sexist and offensive.

Were assuming the same kind of comments will be uttered once Charlies Angels hits wide release in November.

The ad, which promoted U.K. film mag Hotdog, pictured a barely clad Cammy next to the caption Cameron The Pleasures All Mine Diaz Interview and Poster. The ASA said the shot was unacceptable because it alluded to masturbation.

A Hotdog magazine spokeswoman protested the order. Diaz is fully clothed and wearing knickers underneath her shorts, she said. The shot is cheeky and innocent. Were not trying to offend anyone. If you look at most mens magazines, they look like soft porn. Oh, sister, you dont even wanna go there.
