Anne Leaves Ellen for a Man?

August 25 -- You just had to know that gossipmongers would uncover a reason for the Ellen DeGeneres-Anne Heche breakup, and the New York tabs claim to have the real reason America's most famous lesbians are together no more: a man.

Both the New York Post and the New York Daily News dish that Heche has given up her woman-lovin' ways and returned to the ranks of heterosexuality. While the Post revives a rumor linking Heche to her Psycho co-star, Vince Vaughn, the Daily News claims that Heche is romancing an unnamed fella on the set of her new film, John Q — but not her co-stars, Denzel Washington or Robert Duvall.

The Daily News claims that Heche's supposed return to straightness is a calculated career move to revive her box-office standing. Of course, when Heche came out as DeGeneres' squeeze, many called that a calculated bid for notoriety. Ya just can't win, can ya?

And, while Anne was wandering in the back country of central California, Ellen was spotted lunching at the Los Angeles restaurant Orso's with her agent, according to the Post, which claims that the former sitcom star looked "visibly disturbed."
