Garth Brooks announces arena tour with all tickets at same price
Country star Garth Brooks is returning to arenas with a new tour that revives one of his most iconic stage features and offers fans the same ticket price for every seat.
Brooks announced his "Blame It All On My Roots Tour" on Tuesday, marking a return to the arena venues that helped make him one of country music's biggest touring stars.
The tour will also bring back his famed Drum Pod, a centerpiece of his concerts in the 1990s.
"Going back into the arenas is about putting the stadium show in a box," Brooks said in a statement. "The excitement gets multiplied by the intimacy. Every seat is a great seat. This is personal."
Brooks also teased the Drum Pod's return in a video posted to his Instagram.
"How long's it been, old girl? Thirty years?" Brooks said while revealing what appeared to be the long-stored equipment. "Maybe it's time we put you back to work."
The tour kicks off with two shows at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Aug. 21 and 22, with additional dates to be announced city by city.
In a move aimed at making tickets more accessible, every seat on the tour will cost the same price regardless of location. Tickets are priced at $154, which includes a $140 ticket, a $4 facility fee and a $10 service charge, plus applicable taxes.
According to the tour announcement, there will be no presales and all tickets will go on sale simultaneously. Fans will be limited to purchasing up to eight tickets.
Brooks will also record performances throughout the tour for Killer Live, a new live recording project that continues his tradition of capturing concerts in real time.
Tickets for the Indianapolis shows go on sale Friday, July 17 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster.
