Harry Styles honors Liam Payne with new song on 2nd anniversary of his death
Harry Styles paid tribute to his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne on the second anniversary of his death, performing a previously unreleased song dedicated to the late singer.
During his concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, Styles introduced a song titled "What Is Enough," which he said he wrote following Payne’s death in 2024.
"I feel incredibly lucky to get to play these shows here in New York, and this building means a lot to me," Styles told the crowd, according to videos shared on social media.
"There are so many people in my life, friends and people that I’ve worked with that I wouldn’t have been able to do this without," he continued. "And two years ago today, I lost one of those friends."

Styles then performed the song as part of his 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden during his Together, Together tour.
Payne’s former girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, also marked the anniversary on Instagram, sharing a video of the singer posing with a rainbow visible in the background.
"I love you forever & always," she captioned the post.
Payne died on Oct. 16, 2024, at age 31, after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
