Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, are reflecting on a busy summer.

The couple shared a carousel of photos and videos on their official Instagram account Tuesday, giving followers a look back at family moments, royal engagements and charitable work from the past few months.

"Thank you to everyone who has made the last few months so special!" the couple wrote in the caption followed by a sunshine emoji.

The post includes a photo of William and Kate attending Royal Ascot in June, the princess wearing a canary yellow dress and matching hat for the occasion, while William coordinated with a yellow flower on his lapel.

Another image shows the couple lying on the grass with their three children -- Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8 -- alongside the family's English cocker spaniels, Orla and Otto. The photo, taken by photographer Matt Porteous, was first released in April to mark William and Kate's 15th wedding anniversary.

The carousel also includes photos from Kate's Three Peaks Challenge, during which she climbed the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The princess completed the challenge just under 18 months after announcing she was in remission following treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer.

A video included in the post also shows William honoring English broadcaster, writer, and naturalist David Attenborough during a celebration marking Attenborough's 100th birthday at London's Royal Albert Hall in May.

"It is a rare privilege to celebrate a century of life," William said during the event. "But it is rarer still when that person has transformed the way we see the only home that we have -- planet Earth."

William and Kate's summer update comes less than a week after William's sister-in-law Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, shared a glimpse of her own family's summer holiday on Instagram.

Meghan's July 23 post featured photos of her husband Prince Harry and their children -- Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5 -- enjoying time outdoors, including beach outings, family walks and a visit to Althorp, the Spencer family estate where William and Harry's late mother Princess Diana is buried.
