Tom Cruise, David Beckham and more celebrities spotted at US World Cup opener in Los Angeles

David Beckham, Tom Cruise and a host of other celebrities were among the familiar faces spotted at SoFi Stadium during the first U.S. match of the FIFA World Cup on Friday.

The U.S. men's national soccer team won their first World Cup match against Paraguay in a dominating 4-1 performance.

While Beckham has become a fixture in television commercials surrounding the tournament, the former England captain and Inter Miami co-owner was in attendance as a fan this time. Beckham watched the match from premium seats alongside actor Tom Cruise after the pair attended Beckham’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony earlier in the day.

Actor Jason Sudeikis, star of the soccer-themed comedy "Ted Lasso," played an official role in the festivities. Sudeikis appeared on the field before kickoff as part of his duties as a World Cup ambassador.
