Target is recalling hundreds of thousands of children's sandals due to a potential choking hazard.

The retailer and the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Thursday that Cat & Jack Toddler Girls' Sequerah Sandals are being voluntarily recalled as decorative pearls on the product can fall off, posing a potential choking hazard and increasing the risk for serious injury or even death.

Target said it has received 23 reports so far of pearls falling off the sandals, but no reports of injuries.

The retail chain recommends customers stop using any recalled sandals and keep them away from children. Approximately 211,000 sandals are impacted by the recall and Target is offering refunds to anyone with the recalled products at stores or via mail.

The Cat & Jack Children’s Sandals feature two raffia straps with plastic pearls and gold buckles and have the brand name printed on the sandals' sole and bottom. They were made in Cambodia.

The sandals were sold for about $22 at Target stores and on Target's website between January and May 2026.

Customers can reach out to Target about the recall by calling 800-591-3869 toll-free from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT daily or check online at www.target.com/help/articles/news-safety/product-recalls.
