Bubble tops
Buccio recommends shelving your crop tops and opting for a bubble top this year.
"The bubble hem trend was a massive hit in the '80s -- just ask Madonna -- and then again for Y2K fashion," Buccio says. "Now its back for spring and summer because it’s fun, versatile and it’s a playful silhouette that you can wear as a top, skirt, even a dress! I love that it has so much volume but also a fun puff that’s wearable."
Relaxed tailored pants
"There’s more than one way to rock a suit or a pair of slacks," Buccio says. "We automatically think tailored or structured, which can sometimes be restrictive. But for spring and summer, we’re seeing the resurgence of ‘soft power’ suits and trousers like these. It means more relaxed, more comfort, but still chic. It’s elevated but still feminine. And it pairs unexpectedly well with the bubble hem top."
Light trenches
Buccio says to pack up your shearling jackets and quilted coats and find something lightweight for the season.
"This cropped trench is the perfect piece to transition you in the spring," she says, adding that it's a timeless option that "also has that cool girl vibe when thrown over any outfit."
Chunky jewelry
If you typically opt for dainty, minimalism jewelry, Buccio says that now's the time to try out bolder, chunkier options.
"Don’t be afraid to stack your pieces and go chunky, whether it’s necklaces and bracelets. And gold jewelry goes well with any outfit really and can take your look from basic to front and center with the right accessories. Think maximalism -- pieces that are big, bold, oversized."
Kitten heels
"Who would have thought that the flip flop would be the shoe for 2025? The heeled flip flop to be exact!" Buccio says, adding that a kitten-heeled flip-flop works for a daytime or nighttime outfit. "They’re relaxed in their design but sleek."
Small hobo bags
"A demure and chic woven satchel is going to be your best friend this summer, especially in a pop of color that can really ‘zhuzh’ up any look," Buccio says. "I love that you can carry it but also wear it over your shoulder bc of its slouchy style. It feels and looks luxe but without taking yourself so seriously, which is why its a great summer bag!"
