— -- This giant “Godzilla Gator,” as some are referring to it, has become an instant internet sensation this week after video surfaced of the enormous reptile stalking a golf course in Palmetto, Florida.

The original video has amassed a whopping 11 million views and counting, with some people commenting that it couldn’t possibly be real.

Even the man shooting the video, Charles Helms, can be heard saying, “I think it’s two guys in an alligator suit.”

And now of course an amazing “Jurassic Park” spoof has been created featuring the massive creature, which has also gone viral with nearly 600,000 views.

Ken Powell, manager of Buffalo Creek Golf Course, told Politifact Florida that the gator is indeed real, explaining that it’s a regular at holes 3, 8 and 14.

Powell also told PolitiFact, a project of the Tampa Bay Times, that they’re now considering holding a contest to name the beast.
