GMA: Live Birth Day!
Feb. 6 -- Good Morning America made broadcasting history today. It's the first morning show to feature live televised births.
The first birth came within the first five minutes of the program this morning. Within the program's first half-hour, four new babies were welcomed into the world on live television.
Take a look at our live birth rundown below for the complete list of newborns.The two-hour program provided live coverage of births that occurred at three chosen hospitals: Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston; Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas; and The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. GMA viewers were able to go to the show's Web site, ABCNEWS.com, to watch live video from all three hospitals.
ABCNEWS' Dr. Nancy Snyderman provided live updates from delivery rooms at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. ABCNEWS' Dr. Timothy Johnson reported from GMA's Times Square studio.
