March 25, 2007 — -- In Hershey, Penn., candy bars aren't the only things that are made out of chocolate. So are one hotel's spa treatments.

If you put together your favorite chocolate candy and soothing spa products, you would have the Chocolate Spa at the Hershey Hotel.

"Back in the 1930s, Mr. Hershey began a great building campaign," spa director Jennifer Wayland Smith said. "The Hotel Hershey was part of that. The spa was added in the year 2000."

The hotel's architecture has a Mediterranean feel to it inspired by Milton Hershey's travels to Europe.

When the spa was added, it wasn't hard to come up with a theme.

"We thought, 'Let's do something chocolate,'" Smith said. "At that time, it was something very much out of the box. So we had a lot of fun with it, raised a few eyebrows in the spa world. But that was okay, because I think it's very much caught on."

Just about every treatment at this spa has a chocolate flavor to it.

"Chocolate Bean Polish is one of our original exfoliation treatments. It works from the neck to the toes," Smith said. "What's unique about this is that it actually has cocoa bean husks in it that we get from the Hershey company."

"Good Morning America Weekend Edition's" Marysol Castro tried the Chocolate Fondue Wrap.

"We take a mud that's been infused with our essence of cocoa that was formulated exclusively for us, smells just like Hershey's chocolate," Smith said. "It's applied to the body and then you're wrapped up."

In the spring, the spa will debut the Cocoa Facial Experience.

"It has cocoa enzymes in it, which is very good for the skin, the antioxidants," Smith said.

Many spa guests loved the idea of treatments that incorporate chocolate.

"I am a chocoholic -- truly," spa-goer Meg Moore said.

"Chocolate is something that you give yourself because it's special. It's a celebration," said another spa guest, Sandy Keller. "This is a real nice way to come and spend time with family and friends."
