Answer: There are a variety of costs associated with Alzheimer's disease. There is the cost of medical evaluation, of taking medications, but probably more importantly there is the human cost -- the pain and the suffering that patients and caregivers experience. So, I think anybody who is affected by the disease should not hesitate to get help -- help from other family members and friends, resources in the community, the Alzheimer's Association, because there is help available to get us through the many costs of this devastating illness.
