Answer: PDD-NOS differs dramatically from pervasive developmental disorder. Pervasive developmental disorder is the actual category under which the autism spectrum or pervasive developmental disorders falls. PDD-NOS is one of the five specific diagnostic categories within the PDD umbrella.
