Iran live updates: Trump says agreement with Iran will be signed 'tomorrow'

Ismail Baghaei, the spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the focus now is on ending the war on all fronts including Lebanon, and the two sides decided not to discuss the nuclear issue.

"This is not a final agreement between Iran and the United States, but rather an understanding that outlines the general outlines of the disputed issues and specifies that the war will end," Baghaei said at a press conference Saturday.

"The nuclear issue is also scheduled to be discussed within a 60-day period, so there will be no discussion about its details at this stage," Baghaei said.

The funeral ceremonies for former Supreme Leader Ali ‌Khamenei will begin on July 4 in Tehran, Official Islamic Republic News Agency announced.

Funeral processions will then be held in in Tehran and Qom on July 6 and July 7, concluding with a procession and burial in Mashhad on July 9.

U.S. forces downed multiple one-way attack drones launched by Iran, U.S. Central Command said Friday night.

"Iran launched multiple one-way attack drones in an attempt to strike commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz," CENTCOM said in a social media post. "U.S. forces have downed all of them in recent hours as traffic flow through the strait continues unimpeded."

It's the second night in a row the U.S. said it has downed Iranian drones launched towards ships in the strait.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said a “final, agreed upon text of the peace deal has been reached” between the U.S. and Iran, in a post on X.

“Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps,” Sharif wrote Friday. “Peace has never been this close as it is now.”
