A fire broke out at the Damietta Port on Wednesday, authorities said.
President Donald Trump announced "major combat operations" against Iran on Feb. 28, with massive joint U.S.-Israeli strikes targeting military, government and infrastructure sites.
Delegations from the U.S. and Iran entered negotiations in June aimed at a war-ending deal based on a memorandum of understanding signed by both countries.
The U.S. and Iran have nonetheless continued to exchange strikes, with the strategic Strait of Hormuz the primary flashpoint.
The Jordanian Armed Forces said in a statement that its air defenses shot down five missiles launched from Iran early on Thursday morning.

The Egyptian cabinet confirmed in a statement posted to social media on Thursday that Wednesday's fire at the Damietta Port in the north east of the country was caused by a drone, though did not say who was responsible.
"The preliminary investigations into the incident" indicated that the fire was caused by a drone, the statement said. "No party has announced its responsibility for the incident," it added.
The fire at the port, which sits along the Mediterranean coast, affected two ships -- a storage tanker and a vessel used to turn liquid fuel into gas -- Egyptian authorities said.
"The relevant authorities continue to conduct investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident and take the necessary measures to protect Egypt's interests and national security," the cabinet statement said.

Kuwait's Army headquarters said in a post to X on Thursday morning that an Iranian strike targeted a building belonging to a Chinese company in the north of the Gulf nation, killing one worker and causing significant damage to the facility. The headquarters did not name the company.
The U.S. hit dozens of targets in a "heavy wave" of strikes against Iran in response to an attempted surprise missile attack on U.S. forces earlier this week, U.S. Central Command said in a statement.
"CENTCOM assets struck dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense sites, and maritime capabilities," the statement said. "The strikes aimed to further diminish threats posed by Iran and its proxies to American forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries."
CENTCOM has said Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles on Tuesday toward U.S. forces based in the Middle East but that all the missiles were successfully intercepted.
