Iran live updates: Trump says war with Iran not restarting

President Donald Trump said the U.S. "may" attack Iran again after launching strikes overnight into Wednesday.

"There may be a big attack and it will knock out a lot of stuff," Trump said.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth told reporters the U.S. targeted a "small craft that they were trying to harass shipping with," in addition to "underground facilities where they were storing drones or missiles, coastal defense sites, radar sites, surveillance sites, anything used for harassing shipping in the Strait of Hormuz."

President Donald Trump told reporters that the U.S. may do without a deal in Iran after resuming strikes on Iran overnight.

"If we make it to Iran, I'm not sure that will stick because I found them to be very dishonorable people," Trump said ahead of a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"We may just do it without a deal, because you know what, it's easier. Because these people, they lie and they cheat, and you have an agreement, and they'll go outside. For instance, they agreed we'll never have a nuclear weapon. They agreed, then they go outside, have a news conference, or they leak that we never discussed the subject. Now, Who would believe we never discussed the subject?" Trump said.

Trump cast doubt that an agreement would be reached saying there "may be a big attack."

"They violate the agreement every day, they lie, they cheat, they kill people," Trump said.

President Donald Trump told reporters that Iran is "behaving very badly" and the U.S. "hit them hard" overnight.

"They launched a couple of drones and one rocket, one missile at ships, because they were in the Strait -- which they have every right to be -- and so we hit them very hard last night, very, very probably hit them hard again tonight," Trump told reporters ahead of a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"I'm not happy with them," Trump said.

Air defenses intercepted 15 projectiles in Kuwait's airspace this morning, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense said on Wednesday.

Kuwait's Armed Forces intercepted two ballistic missiles and 13 drones that entered Kuwait's air space at dawn, Major General Saud Abulazziz al-Otaibi said in a statement posted on social media.

The statement said there was no material damage or injuries. The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced some power lines were out of service because of shrapnel from the interceptions.

Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued statements condemning the attacks there and in Bahrain calling them "heinous Iranian aggressions."
