Protests supporting Gaza take place in Europe

In a video on Truth Social, President Donald Trump said it is an "unprecedented" day but noted there are still details to be worked out on the deal to end the war in Gaza.

"This is a big day. We'll see how it all turns out. We have to get the final word down and concrete," Trump said, without going into the status of the talks.

He commended Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt and others for working with the U.S.

"We were given a tremendous amount of help. Everybody was unified in wanting this war to end and seeing peace in the Middle East, and we're very close to achieving that," he said.

The Qatari prime minister said the country "welcomes" Hamas' response to the Gaza proposal and "readiness to release all hostages."

Qatar said it has "begun working with its partners in mediation in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in coordination with the United States of America, to complete discussions on the plan to ensure an end to the war."

Following Hamas' statement, President Donald Trump said on social media he believes "they are ready for a lasting PEACE."

"Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly!" Trump said. "Right now, it’s far too dangerous to do that."

"We are already in discussions on details to be worked out," he continued. "This is not about Gaza alone, this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East."

Hamas responded to President Donald Trump's proposal for peace in Gaza, saying it will release all remaining hostages if Israel withdraws from Gaza and "proper field conditions are met."

But, more negotiations will need to take place to finalize the deal.

Hamas also agreed to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body.
