ST. JOHN'S, Antigua, August 14, 2008 — -- Antigua police have arrested two women in the slaying of a honeymooning couple from Britain.
Police say the suspects appeared before a judge Thursday on the Caribbean island. They were charged with crimes "connected to the murders" of Benjamin and Catherine Mullany.
Investigators did not give more information about their alleged role in the July attack on the 31-year-old newlyweds at a beachfront cottage.
Police Inspector Cornelius Charles told The Associated Press he expects more arrests are forthcoming. He declined to give details, saying it might jeopardize the investigation.
