California 2026 live midterm election results

California voters are deciding several key races in Tuesday's midterm elections, including the race to succeed term-limited Gov. Gavin Newsom.

In the gubernatorial race, Democrat Xavier Becerra faces Republican Steve Hilton.

Eyes are also on a number of key House races, including California's 11th Congressional District where Democrats Scott Wiener and Connie Chan are going head-to-head to replace former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is retiring after almost 40 years of serving in Congress.

In the competitive 22nd Congressional District, progressive Democrat Randy Villegas is attempting to unseat Republican incumbent Rep. David Valadao.

There is also high interest in the Los Angeles mayoral race with incumbent Karen Bass taking on Nithya Raman.
