Trump congratulates Democrats, says they 'did a good job'

President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that he would work with Democrats, while also taking no accountability for tonight's results.

"Congratulations to the Democrats," he said. "I think the Democrats did a good job. I really do. I think they did a good job. They fought hard. They were, you know, they've been fighting for a long time. They've been fighting me for a long time. This fight's been going on for ages."

On working with Democrats, Trump said: "I would do that. Yeah, I think the Democrats want to work with me."

Asked if he had any regrets picking candidates like Sen. Darline Graham in South Carolina and Ken Paxton in Texas, Trump said he had "no choice" but to endorse Paxton because outgoing Sen. John Cornyn was "a disloyal guy" and "not a fan of mine."

Trump declined to weigh in on what comes next for Republicans in 2028, saying only that they had an "unbelievable bench of talent."

"Together, Iowa, we have proven that the impossible was possible. And as we said in the primary, and I'll say it again, Iowa, you sure do love an underdog," Turek said. "For the first time in 20 years, Iowa will have representation in the United States Senate for the people of Iowa."

“As your next United States senator, Iowa, I promise to protect the American dream for future generations,” he added.

Peltola addresses supporters in Alaska, says race 'feels good' as count continues

Shortly after 1 a.m. ET, Democratic Senate candidate for Alaska Mary Peltola took to the stage at her election night party to address her supporters, stopping short of declaring victory but saying that the race "feels so good."

ABC News has not projected the Alaska Senate race.

"Votes trend. They trend the way the early votes have come in. They trend, and we are trending. We have seen a trend ... It just feels so good to let go and be part of a wave," Peltola said.

Peltola also cautioned supporters that it would take "weeks" for all votes to be counted.

Peltola seemed to reference the controversy over the second Dan Sullivan on the ballot in the Senate race at two points.

"I'm looking out at this room of hundreds of people who are smart people and know exactly who they're voting for," she said.

Democrat Abdul El-Sayed projected to win Michigan Senate race

ABC News can project that Democrat Dr. Abdul El-Sayed will win his senate election against his Republican opponent, former Rep. Mike Rogers.

He will make history as this country’s first ever Muslim Senator. He faced consistent Islamophobic attacks from top Republicans, including the president.

El-Sayed consistently led in the polls, but faced a late challenge with Rep. Haley Steven's endorsement of Rogers on Sunday, but was able to rally the party around him in the closing days. His campaign focused on issues like Medicare for all and campaign finance reform. He distinguished himself in the primary with an aggressive stance against U.S. support for Israel.

His victory will almost certainly be used by the progressive wing of the Democratic Party to argue their viability nationally and that they are the future of the party. He will join Sen. Elissa Slotkin in the Senate, giving them the interesting distinction of being two politicians who defeated the same candidate, Rogers, serving together.
