After strike on Iran, Trump focuses on his megabill

European leaders are expected to hold talks with the Iranians on Friday as the world waits to see what President Donald Trump will decide on the conflict.

"Does the president have any hopes or specific expectations for the talks tomorrow between European foreign secretaries and their Iranian counterpart?" a reporter asked White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

"Well, certainly the entire world is on the president's side when it comes to the fact that Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon. This is something that pretty much all of humanity, except for the Iranian terrorist regime themselves, agree upon. And so the president expects that Europe will deliver that message directly to the Iranians," she responded.

Leavitt added Trump's "top priority" was ensuring Iran doesn't obtain a nuclear weapon.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about President Donald Trump's repeated line that foreign peace deals would be revealed in two weeks only for no such announcement to take place.

The press secretary did not answer the question directly, and instead laid blame on the Biden administration for their handling of the situations in the Middle East and Russia-Ukraine conflict.

"Again [Trump] is a peacemaker in chief. He is the peace through strength president. And so if there's a chance for diplomacy, the president's always going to grab it," she said.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, at the top of her briefing on Thursday, shared a message from President Donald Trump regarding the Israel-Iran conflict.

"I know there has been a lot of speculation amongst all of you in the media regarding the president's decision making and regarding whether or not the United States will be directly," Leavitt said.

"I have a message directly from the president: Based on the fact that there's a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make whether or not to go within the next two weeks," Leavitt said, adding that's a direct quote from Trump.

Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon was seen walking into the White House Thursday morning.

Bannon's arrival at the White House comes as he's been vocal about the U.S. not getting involved in the conflict between Iran and Israel.

Moments after entering the West Wing, Bannon posted on social media a video clip of him arguing for negotiations with Iran and economic warfare.

Bannon said on his show, "War Room," "Netanyahu, just finish what you started."

"Our position at the 'War Room' is clear. Iran must never get a nuclear weapon. And Israel is fully capable of finishing what they started," he wrote in the caption.
