Trump admin updates: EU will buy $750 billion worth of U.S. energy under deal

The deal would impose a 15% tariff on most goods.

President Donald Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on Sunday the U.S. and the EU had reached a deal that would impose a 15% tariff on most goods.

Under the deal, the EU will purchase $750 billion worth of energy from the U.S. and invest $600 billion more than it's already is.

Meanwhile, Trump's health secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., plans to oust all 16 members of a task force that recommends which preventive health services, such as cancer screenings, must be covered by insurance.

Trump was not aware of Ghislaine Maxwell meeting with Deputy AG Todd Blanche

While meeting with Philippines President Marcos, President Donald Trump said he "doesn’t know a thing" about Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche saying he will meet with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

He said the meeting between Blanche and Maxwell "sounds appropriate to do."

“I don’t really follow that too much," Trump said, calling the demand for the release of the files to be a "witch hunt."

Trump on Powell: 'He's going to be out soon anyway'

President Donald Trump was asked about Fed Chair Jerome Powell's future.

The president, who referred Powell as a "numbskull," claimed "He's going to be out soon anyway."

House Democrats 'want the truth to come out' regarding Epstein

When asked about the upcoming meeting between Ghislaine Maxwell -- the convicted associate of deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein -- and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, House Democrats said they "want the truth to come out."

Democratic Rep. Pete Aguilar accused President Donald Trump and House Republicans of wanting to protect the "rich and powerful."

“What's in these documents that they are afraid of? Follow through or don't follow through,” Aguilar said on Tuesday.

Johnson on Ukraine-Russia war: 'We need peace over there'

House Speaker Mike Johnson said the House and the Senate have agreed to allow President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth time regarding the war in Ukraine.

But Johnson emphasized that “we need peace over there.”

“We don’t want further American involvement, but I trust the commander-in-chief,” Johnson said.

Last week, Trump gave Russia “50 days” to make peace with Ukraine.

"Well, at the end of 50 days, if we don't have a deal, it's going to be too bad," Trump told reporters at the White House last week.
