Trump admin updates: EU will buy $750 billion worth of U.S. energy under deal

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said on Tuesday that Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff was now traveling "to the Gaza area."

Bruce said the Trump administration has a "strong hope we will come forward with another ceasefire, as well as a humanitarian corridor for aid to flow -- that both sides have, in fact, agreed to this."

She continued to say that news of Witkoff’s travel was communicated to her in a quick call from Secretary of State Marco Rubio earlier in the day.

"He said, Gaza, the area. Now, of course, it could be…we have many, many partners there, many allies," she said. "When it comes to the specific location of the envoy, I do not have that, but it's in a dynamic to where we're looking to finalize this arrangement."

Witkoff was expected to travel to Doha earlier this month, but that travel never materialized as ceasefire negotiations hit gridlock.

When asked whether ramping up aid distribution in Gaza was possible without reaching a ceasefire first, Bruce indicated some expansion was possible -- but that returning to a “normal environment” for humanitarian assistance still hinged on certain conditions.

"When we think of ramping up, you can have that with more distribution sites for GHF or others who perhaps adopt their technique and strategy," she said, adding that doing more than that would require a ceasefire.

The White House announced it has created a framework to a trade deal with Indonesia.

Under the proposal, Indonesia will eliminate 99% of "tariff barriers for a full range of U.S. industrial and U.S. food and agricultural products exported to Indonesia," while the U.S. will reduce the reciprocal tariffs announced against Indonesia from 32% to 19%.

"HUGE WIN for our Automakers, Tech Companies, Workers, Farmers, Ranchers, and Manufacturers," Trump said in a social media post.

The tentative deal with Indonesia will also remove pre-shipment inspection requirements on U.S. goods, drops local content requirements, which forced American companies to have local offices or facilities to import some goods there and lowers the number of barriers for authorizations for pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Indonesia also agreed to accept U.S. federal motor vehicle safety standards for cars, the White House said.

President Donald Trump took aim at late night talk shows in a social media post Tuesday, in light of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" ending in 2026.

The president continued to suggest that Jimmy Kimmel is next to fall, followed shortly by Jimmy Fallon.

"These are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television," Trump wrote on social media. "It’s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in i."

“Nope. No, no. Absolutely not, Kimmel. I am the martyr. There’s only room for one on this cross. And I gotta tell you, the view is fantastic from up here," he said.

President Donald Trump has reduced the Philippines' tariff rate by 1% after a bilateral meeting and lunch at the White House with the country's president on Tuesday.

The Philippines now faces a 19% tariff.

"It was a beautiful visit, and we concluded our Trade Deal, whereby The Philippines is going OPEN MARKET with the United States, and ZERO Tariffs. The Philippines will pay a 19% Tariff," Trump wrote on social media following the visit.

Trump called the meeting a "great honor" and suggested again that Philippines President Marcos was a "tough" negotiator.
