Trump-Putin summit: Zelenskyy to travel to DC on Monday to meet with President Trump

Ahead of Friday's high-stakes meeting, President Donald Trump said that he wants to see a ceasefire negotiated or "I'm not going to be happy."

"But I want to see a ceasefire rapidly," Trump said. "I don't know if it's going to be today, but I'm not going to be happy if it's not today," Trump said on Air Force One.

"Everyone said it can't be today, but I'm just saying, I want the killing to stop. I'm in this to stop the killing," Trump continued.

Accompanying Russian President Putin in the now three-on-three meeting with President Trump are Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the president's adviser, Yuri Ushakov, a Kremlin spokesperson told Russian state media.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived at the military base in Anchorage, where a red carpet has been rolled out on the tarmac, following President Donald Trump's arrival.

This marks the first time Putin has been in the U.S. since September 2015, when he met with then-President Barack Obama at the U.N. General Assembly in New York City.

President Donald Trump has yet to exit Air Force One, as he remains on board exchanging greetings with Alaskan senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan as well as Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy, according to a White House official.
