LEWISBURG, Pa. ( -- Jared Turner’s 24 points off of the bench helped Old Dominion to an 82-62 victory against Bucknell on Saturday.
Turner added seven rebounds for the Monarchs (3-0). Adante’ Holiman went 6 of 12 from the field (5 for 9 from 3-point range) to add 17 points. Zacch Wiggins shot 4 for 9 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line to finish with 12 points.
Luca Soroa finished with 17 points and four steals for the Bison (0-2). Bucknell also got 11 points from Aleksander Pachucki. Jayden Williams finished with nine points and two steals.
Old Dominion carried a slim one-point lead into halftime, as Turner led the way with six points. Old Dominion took the lead for good with 12:04 left in the game. Turner helped their team pull away for the victory with 18 second-half points.
