— -- The Puget Sound hamlet of Cedar Cove is a figment of best-selling author Debbie Macomber's prolific imagination, most recently on display with this week's publication of her novel 74 Seaside Avenue, the seventh in the Cedar Cove series.

But Cedar Cove's inspiration, Macomber's hometown of Port Orchard, Wash., has become such a magnet for fans that the Chamber of Commerce and romance writer have teamed up to publish a map (available at debbiemacomber.com) locating such favorite landmarks as the Lighthouse Restaurant and waterfront marina park. Not on the map: Macomber's home or office, but the author will take part in a "Cedar Cove High Tea" at Port Orchard's Victorian Tea Room, Sept.15-16.
