2 police officers shot at Chicago hospital: Officials
One of the officers is in critical condition, according to an official.
Two police officers were shot at a hospital in Chicago on Saturday morning and one was in critical condition as the medical facility went on lockdown, local officials said.
Officers brought the unidentified suspect, who was in custody, to the Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital around 9 a.m. and he was scanned with weapon detection tools by hospital security, the hospital said in a statement.

Around 11 a.m. the suspect got a hold of a firearm, began shooting and fled, according to the hospital.
"No team members or patients were physically harmed as a result of this incident," Endeavor said in a statement.
The suspect was apprehended a short time later.

Alderperson Andre Vasquez of Chicago's 40th Ward said in a social media post that one of the two officers was in critical condition
"Please shelter in place if you are in the surrounding area or avoid the area," he said in a social media post

The hospital said there was no "active threat" within the hospital and patients and staff are safe.
"The campus is currently closed while law enforcement leads their investigation," the hospital said.
