Crime Blotter: 'Naked Photographer' Caught
— -- A Kansas man gets a painful lesson in kissing and making up; the "naked photographer" mystery appears solved; and a fugitive parking ticket violator is pulled over. It's all in this week's edition of the Crime Blotter.
A Painful Slip of the Tongue
W I C H I T A, Kan. — So much for kissing and making up.
A 21-year-old Wichita, Kan., woman faces aggravated battery charges for biting off a chunk of her boyfriend's tongue when he tried to kiss her after an argument.
According to police, Crissy Smith and her boyfriend, Randy Eggers, 23, had been arguing Dec. 1 and after the tension between them seemed to subside, Eggers attempted to put their quarrel behind them with a kiss.
But Eggers soon found that the kiss was only the beginning of round two in their battle.
"Around 9 p.m. last night, Wichita police responded to a report of domestic violence-related assault," Wichita Police Department. spokeswoman Janet Johnson told ABCNEWS affiliate KAKE in Wichita. "Apparently, the two Wichita residents … were arguing. … There was some pushing and shoving. At some point, according to witnesses, the male attempted to make up and tried to kiss the female, at which point she did bite off a portion of his tongue."
Police found the piece of the severed tongue on the floor of his apartment hallway. Eggers' tongue was then surgically reattached at the hospital.
Despite his injuries, Eggers also faces a simple battery charge for allegedly scratching and biting Smith during their fracas.
‘Naked Photographer’ Caught in the Buff
C O L U M B U S, Ohio — Ohio police believe they finally have solved the case of the "naked photographer."
Since April 2002, police have been baffled by 39 reports of women being ambushed by a nude man whose only accessory was a camera. Police said the "naked photographer" would take pictures of the women's shocked expressions and keep them as souvenirs.
Now police believe they have their own picture of the naked photographer — his mug shot.
