2 murder suspects who escaped Georgia county jail located after 4-day manhunt: Sheriff

The two inmates escaped on Sunday, authorities said

Authorities in Georgia say two murder suspects who escaped a county jail on Sunday have been captured after several days on the run.

Rickey Martin, 20, and Kentravious Holmes, 21, were found inside a residence in Americus, Georgia, the Sumter County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday evening.

"Both Holmes and Martin were taken into custody without incident. A third subject was also detained at the scene," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

The residence where the inmates were is located less than 5 miles from the Sumter County Jail.

The pair escaped from the jail at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to the sheriff's office.

In addition to murder, the two inmates had been in custody on charges including aggravated assault and aggravated battery, according to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.
