A rainy red carpet is possible when Hollywood's biggest stars step out for the Oscars this Sunday.

On Thursday, Los Angeles could near record-high temperatures.

But by Sunday, the summer-like heat will end and the first of three storm systems could bring rain showers to the Oscars.

The chance for rain is 30% to 50% on Sunday afternoon -- and that will increase to 60% to 70% by Sunday night.

It'll be a cold red carpet, too. Temperatures will only be in the high 50s.

The 97th Academy Awards will air live on ABC at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
