Urgent search for missing diabetic man as wife pleads for newlywed to 'come home'
"If you're seeing this, please, come home," Dominick Bianchi's wife said.
An urgent search is underway in Upstate New York for a missing 35-year-old man who is diabetic and may need medication, police said, as the newlywed's wife made an emotional plea for him to come home.
Dominick Bianchi was last seen Tuesday morning at his home in East Greenbush, near Albany, according to police.
He left without his phone, wallet and vehicle, according to the East Greenbush Police Department.
Police have been using drones and canines as part of the search, which has involved other agencies including the New York State Police, East Greenbush Police Department Assistant Chief James Condo told ABC Albany affiliate WTEN.
Bianchi's wife, Julianna Zyra, whom he wed several months ago, told WTEN that her husband is a Type 1 diabetic. She told the station he has a continuous glucose monitor but it's paired to his phone, which he doesn't have, and she doesn't know if he has any insulin on him.
Zyra told WTEN that her husband has been struggling mentally and "is not in the right headspace."
"Whatever it is that's going on, there are so many people who care about you and want you to be home," Zyra said while addressing her husband in emotional remarks to WTEN. "If you're seeing this, please, come home."
Police urged people to check their properties, vehicles, trail cameras and any home surveillance.
Bianchi is described as being 5'11" with blue-green eyes, brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants, black long-sleeve shirt and possibly a baseball hat.
