Harrison Ford's Marriage

Nov. 8, 2000 -- Harrison Ford and his wife of 17 years,screenwriter Melissa Mathison, are living apart.

“We have been living apart for the past month. We sincerelyhope that we can work out our differences,” the couple said in astatement released by the actor’s agent Patricia McQueeney.

Ford, 58, and Lara Flynn Boyle, 30, star of television’s ThePractice, have been linked romantically by the National Enquirer,which photographed the couple drinking champagne at a New York Cityclub.

“[The Fords’ separation] had nothing to do with that. They separated before that,” McQueeney said Tuesday, referring to the photo spread.

Ford and Boyle were photographed sharing a booth at a VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards post-party at New York’s Lot 61 nightclub on Oct. 20.

Ford and his first wife, Mary, divorced in 1979 after 15 years of marriage. Ford has two sons, Benjamin, 33, and Willard, 31, from his that marriage, and son Malcolm, 13, and daughter Georgia, 10, with Mathison.
