A young girl received the ultimate present from Taylor Swift, and the story behind the sweet gesture is something that her family will "never forget."
In April, Natalie Hulec shared a video on TikTok of her 8-year-old daughter, named Madeline, who sent her new neighbor, musician Ethan Hayes, a paper plane with a music request.
The note read: "Hi! I herd you playing the guitair"
"I'm doing my home work and i wanted to know if u can play Taylor Swift," Madeline added in her message.
In the video, Hayes is seen reading the note, then playing "Love Story" by Swift while Madeline sings along from her window.
The sweet video, which has since gone viral on TikTok, caught the attention of Swift, who sent Madeline a handwritten note and an autographed guitar, which features an image of Swift in her "Midnights" era.
Natalie Hulec shared a photo of her daughter holding the guitar, along with a photo of the note from Swift on Instagram, which said: "Dearest Madeline, I just wanted to let you know that it made me so happy that you asked your neighbor to play my song for you."
Swift added, "You brought the biggest smile to my face! I'm sending you your own guitar, in case you ever want to learn too! Thanks again! And sending you my love."
Natalie Hulec wrote in the caption of the post that Swift also sprayed her perfume on the note.
"The past month has been such a whirlwind and watching all of this unfold has been so surreal and exciting for our family," Natalie Hulec said. "Definitely something we’ll never forget 🥰🫶🏻💕"
In April, Hayes took to TikTok after seeing the video circulate on his feed.
"She's very sweet," Hayes said of Madeline in his video. "It's very, very cool. It was good to be able to do something like that for someone."
