Frozen meatloaf meals recalled over undeclared soy allergen

Nearly 5,800 pounds recalled after soy was left off product labels.

Power Plate Meals LLC is recalling approximately 5,795 pounds of frozen meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes because they contain soy that is not declared on the label, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The recall, announced by FSIS on June 18, affects 13.3-ounce vacuum-sealed plastic tray packages labeled "POWER PLATE MEALS MEATLOAF WITH GARLIC MASHED POTATOES" with use-by dates between June 25, 2026, and June 10, 2027.

The products bear establishment number "217SEND" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The meals were produced between June 25, 2025, and June 10, 2026, and shipped to distributors in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

According to FSIS, the recall was initiated after a state inspector notified the agency that soy, a known allergen, was omitted from the product's ingredients list.

FSIS said there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions linked to the recalled products.

Anyone concerned about an illness or allergic reaction should contact a health care provider.

The agency warned that some of the affected meals may still be stored in consumers' freezers.

Consumers are urged not to eat the products and should either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.

ABC News has reached out to Power Plate Meals for additional information regarding the recall but did not hear back immediately.
