Trump says 3rd term isn't a joke, despite term limit
"A lot of people want me to do it," Trump told NBC on Sunday.
President Donald Trump did not rule out seeking a third term for president when asked by NBC on Sunday, saying, “There are methods which you could do it."
“A lot of people want me to do it,” Trump said Sunday. “But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration.”
Meanwhile, tariffs on imported autos are to go into effect on Wednesday. While economist predict Trump's tariffs will raise prices in the U.S., his tariffs czar, Peter Navarro, predicted they would result in tax cuts: "Tariffs are tax cuts, tariffs are jobs, tariffs are national security, tariffs are great for America," Navarro told Fox News.

Trump targets law firm tied to Robert Mueller
President Donald Trump took aim at the law firm WilmerHale, saying it is one of many law firms that "engage in conduct detrimental to critical American interests," in a new executive order on Wednesday.
Trump argued in the order that the firm engages in "activities that undermine justice" in its pro bono practice.
WilmerHale has ties to former Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who investigated and issued a report on alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign.
The order says that WilmerHale "engages in obvious partisan representations to achieve political ends, supports efforts to discriminate on the basis of race, backs the obstruction of efforts to prevent illegal aliens from committing horrific crimes and trafficking deadly drugs within our borders, and furthers the degradation of the quality of American elections, including by supporting efforts designed to enable noncitizens to vote." The order also takes issue with the fact that WilmerHale uses race-based "targets" in hiring.
Trump took issue with the fact that WilmerHale has ties to Robert Mueller and some of his top aides, Aaron Zebley and James Quarles.
"Mueller's investigation epitomizes the weaponization of government, yet WilmerHale claimed he 'embodies the highest value of our firm and profession,'" the executive order said.
Trump ordered his administration to suspend the security clearances of WilmerHale employees and also requires government contractors to disclose any business they do with the law firm.

Trump creates task force to make D.C. ‘Safe and Beautiful’
Trump signed an executive order creating a D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force focused on fighting crime in Washington, DC., and directing new efforts to "beautify" the city.
The order's aim is to "make Washington, D.C. what it should be -- the pride of every American to whom it belongs."
The task force will be chaired by the Homeland Security adviser and include representatives from the departments of Interior, Transportation and Homeland Security, as well as the FBI, U.S. Marshals, ATF, and U.S. sttorney's offices for D.C., Maryland, and the Eastern District of Virginia.

Trump targets WilmerHale law firm in fight against 'Big Law'
Trump on Thursday signed a presidential proclamation that suspended the security clearances of those employed by the law firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, saying it engages in "partisan representations to achieve political ends."
The order also requires that any government contractor doing business with WilmerHale disclose it and terminate any federal contracts with the law firm, and employees of the firm will lose official access to federal buildings.
The administration cited as a reason for its action that the law firm "rewarded Robert Mueller and his colleagues -- Aaron Zebley, Mueller's 'top aide' and 'closest associate,' and James Quarles -- by welcoming them to the firm after they wielded the power of the Federal Government to lead one of the most partisan investigations in American history."
Trump directs administration to restore monuments that have been removed
President Donald Trump signed an executive order behind closed doors on Thursday directing federal agencies and the Smithsonian Institution to eliminate what the order calls "divisive" and "anti-American" content from museums and national parks, according to sources familiar with the order.
The order, title "Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History," directs the vice president and the secretary of the Interior Department to restore federal parks, monuments, memorials and statues "that have been improperly removed or changed in the last five years to perpetuate a false revision of history or improperly minimize or disparage certain historical figures or events."
The order also directs the vice president, who is a member of the Smithsonian Board of Regents, to work to eliminate improper, divisive or anti-American ideology from the Smithsonian and its museums, education and research centers, and the National Zoo.
