Jaylen Benard scored 14 points as Longwood opened its campaign Monday with a 123-67 victory over Pfeiffer.

Benard had 10 rebounds for the Lancers. M.J. Williams scored 12 points while shooting 5 for 9 from the field, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc, and added five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Elijah Thomas shot 5 for 6 from the field, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc, to finish with 12 points.

Drake Stewart led the way for the Falcons with 12 points. Antoine Piper added 11 points for Pfeiffer. Sunni Wrice also had eight points.
