Review: Creative Zen MP3 Player
Lightweight with quality headphones, Creative Zen rises above the fray.
— -- Creative has long been known as a significant player in the PC audio market, thanks to its high-end audio cards. Apart from the company's computer accessories, Creative also has a wide range of attractively priced media players.
Available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB models, the Zen ($129.99) is the latest addition to the company's portable media player product lineup. Equivalent in size and weight to that of a credit card, the Zen is an excellent media player and includes the ability to play audio, video and photos. Even though the device supports multiple video formats, any nonsupported video is easily and automatically converted to the right file format.
The Zen also includes a built-in audio recorder and FM radio. Additionally, the device also includes an SD slot that allows for unlimited expandability and entertainment.
Unlike many other media players, the Zen, which is available only for Windows machines, includes headphones with superior sound quality.
