ABC News observed officers from Minnesota's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension on ladders assessing the crime scene and looking at markings on a wall above what appear to be bullet holes.

One agent also appeared to be taking photos of a CCTV camera directly above the scene of the shooting.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz met with White House border czar Tom Homan Tuesday morning, according to the governor's office.

Walz "reiterated Minnesota's priorities: impartial investigations into the Minneapolis shootings involving federal agents, a swift, significant reduction in the number of federal forces in Minnesota, and an end to the campaign of retribution against Minnesota," the governor's office said in a statement.

"The Governor and Homan agreed on the need for an ongoing dialogue and will continue working toward those goals, which the President also agreed to yesterday," the statement added.

Homan will work with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety as his primary liaison, according to Walz's office.

Former President Joe Biden criticized the Trump administration over the fatal shootings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good by federal agents in Minneapolis in a post on X on Tuesday.

He also called on Americans to "stand up and speak out" against the administration in light of its actions in Minnesota.

"What has unfolded in Minneapolis this past month betrays our most basic values as Americans," Biden, who had not previously spoken openly about Pretti or Good, wrote. "We are not a nation that guns down our citizens in the street. We are not a nation that allows our citizens to be brutalized for exercising their constitutional rights. We are not a nation that tramples the 4th Amendment and tolerates our neighbors being terrorized."

Biden praised the people of Minnesota for helping people in their community and speaking out, saying that "Minnesotans have reminded us all what it is to be American, and they have suffered enough at the hands of this Administration."

Without mentioning President Donald Trump by name, Biden wrote, "No single person can destroy what America stands for and believes in, not even a President, if we -- all of America -- stand up and speak out. We know who we are. It's time to show the world. More importantly, it's time to show ourselves."

Biden called for investigations into the deaths of Pretti and Good, and said he and former first lady Jill Biden are "sending strength" to their families and communities.

The American Federation of Government Employees, the largest federal employee union, which also represented Alex Pretti, issued a statement Monday night calling for the resignations of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

AFGE President Everett Kelley contended that their immigration policy and actions led to the nurse's death.

"Taken together, the actions of Miller and Noem, both before and after Alex's killing, make clear they are unfit to serve in their current positions, or any position requiring the public trust," Kelley added.

Miller called Pretti a "domestic terrorist" in social media posts.

When asked Saturday evening about the White House’s label that the victim was a domestic terrorist, Noem agreed.

“That is the definition of domestic terrorism," she said.
