Woman with multiple stab wounds found dead in New York City's Central Park
A 911 caller reported finding the body near a walking trail, police said.
A woman in her 60s was pronounced dead after she was found unresponsive and with multiple stab wounds in New York City's Central Park Sunday, according to police.
The woman's identity and the circumstances of her death were withheld by police pending an autopsy by the New York City Medical Examiner's Office, a New York Police Department spokesperson told ABC News.
A 911 caller reported finding the body around 9:43 a.m. ET on Sunday, the spokesperson said.
Officers who responded to the call found the woman unresponsive with trauma and stab wounds on her body, police said.
The woman was found off a walking trail in the park near East Drive and East 74th Street, according to police.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, adding that no arrests have yet been made.
