Ten Commandments Vary Among Faiths

Aug. 27, 2003 -- Jews and Christians believe the Ten Commandments were revealed to Moses on Mount Sinai and were written on two tablets of stone, but different faiths embrace different translations of the Commandments.

The Commandments are recorded in the biblical Books of Exodus and Deuteronomy. However, traditions vary in numbering the Commandments, and in their exact wording.
