Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, marked their eighth wedding anniversary Tuesday by sharing previously unseen photos of their special day.

Meghan took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes photos from their wedding ceremony at St. George's Chapel in Windsor, England, as well as their daytime and evening wedding receptions.

Among the photos are shots of Harry delivering a toast, Elton John performing, Harry and Meghan sharing quiet moments together and the couple hitting the dance floor at their evening reception.

Meghan also shared on Instagram the at-home anniversary celebration she and Harry had with their two children, 7-year-old Archie and 4-year-old Lilibet.

For their eighth anniversary, Harry gave Meghan a statue of two penguins together, a reference she said to a party the pair hosted after their 2017 engagement. Guests were instructed to wear animal onesies.

Harry and Meghan each dressed as penguins, which Meghan said was because "they're together for life."

The couple's wedding on May 19, 2018, was attended by 600 guests including Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney, as well as Harry's royal relatives, including the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip; his brother and sister-in-law Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales; and his father, now-King Charles III, who walked Meghan down the aisle.

The guests who attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding ceremony were also invited to their daytime reception at St. George’s Hall, hosted by the late queen.

The reception included a performance by John, who also attended the wedding.

Later on, Harry’s father hosted a private, evening reception for 200 guests at Frogmore House, also on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

In 2019, Harry and Meghan moved into a nearby home, Frogmore Cottage, where they lived until stepping away from their senior royal roles in 2020 and moving to California.

The couple is not known to have visited the U.K. together with their children since 2022, when they attended Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
