Guarantees that the citizens of Vermont have a right to join a labor organization and collectively bargain with their employers through a representative they choose about pay, hours, and working conditions to protect their economic welfare and safety in the workplace.

Guarantees people -- regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or national origin -- the right to equal protection under the law.
