When we think of summer dressing, one fabric is at the forefront of our minds: linen.

Linen is not only comfortable, it's versatile. The light and easy-to-wear fabric makes dressing feel effortless, despite rising temperatures and pesky humidity.

Linen dresses, for example, are perfect for the daytime with sneakers or flats but can be worn for a special occasion with a sparkly heeled sandal, too. A linen blazer and pant set is a chic option for a professional setting (or anywhere, really). Linen shorts are a must for a sandy beach, and a linen button-down can double as a swimsuit coverup or for a classic look with jeans.

In spring, layer linen with other wardrobe staples on chillier days: a linen pant, for example, and a cashmere sweater are a match made in heaven when it's cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Style a linen tank top with a blazer or a lightweight jacket for everyday wear.

If you're worried about wrinkles, embrace them. Give your pieces a good steam ahead of time and don't mind if a few wrinkles form throughout the day. You'll still look (and feel!) great.
