With temperatures finally rising and the sun coming out to play, it might be time to put the winter coats away and transition to your spring and summer outfits.

Fashion expert Melissa Garcia shared some of her stylist tips for how to pair some of your favorite winter items with the hottest trends of the new season, so you don't have to "spring" for a whole new wardrobe at once.

Garcia said her secret for giving winter clothes new life is to pair your heavier clothing items with something light, that way you can extend the wear time of some of your favorite winter threads. She styled four ultra-chic looks for the new season, combining both winter go-to's and some on-trend pieces for spring.
